Why This Exists
Most dating apps optimize for one thing: keeping you swiping. They sort by geography and by what people say about themselves — and people are, understandably, bad at marketing themselves honestly. Singles or friendship oriented socail events aren't much better: they're usually organized around a shared activity, not shared compatibility, which means half the room came with existing friends and isn't actually open to meeting anyone new.
Neither approach gets at what the research says actually predicts connection: shared values, compatible (not identical) personalities, and attachment style. And neither gets you to the one thing no app or profile can ever capture — chemistry, which research shows people sense in person, often within seconds, not something anyone can rate on a profile.
We built alcheMeets to close that gap: real insight instead of self-marketing, curated in-person gatherings instead of a swipe queue, and expert guidance to help the actual meeting go well.
