1. Respect the "Intent Lane"

A platonic match is strictly platonic. A romantic match is romantic. If you are introduced to someone for friendship, do not treat it as a romantic date or use it to make romantic advances. Violating this boundary compromises the safety of our platonic space. If a mutual romantic spark happens naturally over time, that’s beautiful—but always lead with the intent you both agreed to.

 

2. The Anti-Ghosting Compact

Disappearing from a connection with no communication is hurtful and does not embody the values we at alcheMeets hold.  We close the loop with kindness. Not every match will work out, and that is completely normal. However, disappearing without a word leaves people hanging. If you realize a match isn't a good fit (romantically or platonically), you agree to send a polite, clear message to close the loop. We are even happy to provide templates if you’re stuck on what to say.

 

3. Zero Room for Entitlement

Connections must always be built on enthusiastic, mutual consent. No member is ever "owed" a match, a reply, a second date, or an explanation beyond a polite decline. Rejection is a normal part of the human experience. If someone says "no thank you," accept it gracefully and move forward.

 

4. Present & Prompt Communication

Respect each other’s time and energy. Please reply to match introductions or scheduling requests within 48 hours. When you are in a first meeting—whether grabbing coffee with a potential friend or a drink with a romantic match—keep your phone out of sight. Give the human being in front of you your full presence.

 

5.  Constructive, Kind Feedback

Share feedback with the matchmakers, not insults about the match. After a match, we will ask how it went. We want your honest feedback so we can refine our process and work towards finding your ideal match! However, we require that feedback remain constructive and focused on compatibility. Superficial, cruel, or degrading critiques of a match’s appearance or character will result in immediate removal from the service.

 

6.  This is a Social Sanctuary (No Soliciting)

Leave the business networking at the door. This service and our community spaces are designed for emotional and social connection. Unless you are at one of our events specifically designed for professional networking, pitching business ventures, multi-level marketing (MLMs), or aggressive professional networking is strictly prohibited.
